My next novel is titled, "The Amoeba Strain." It will be out in 2016 and available on Kindle, Smashwords, Barnes & Nobles, Apple Books, Google Play and many other distributors. I have been hard at work on this novel for the past year. It stems from an idea I had which originated over 10 years ago. The story is about a man, Adam West, who is being hunted by the government and a powerful corporation. He is not like me and you. On the contrary, he is very different. He is believed to be the key to solving one of life's biggest questions. The issue this question entails is front in center in all our lives. It is in the courts and is endlessly debated. It deals with the nature of man himself.
The story begins with one of the main characters, Ian Cage, crossing paths with a doctor that works for the government. The doctor is trying to find a cure. The cure will solve the problems, as he and his bosses sees it, for a whole generation of people. His boss is the president of the United States of America. The cure the president seeks is personal to him. He believes this is his only chance at finding the cure for him and his family. The president will be told that what he seeks to cure is not a disease. He will be told that it is just a part of life, a matter of human development. He will disagree and forge forward with his plans.
The head of the corporation, Joseph Arlington, has different intents when it comes to Adam West. He seeks more than the cure. He seeks a bevy of medical cures which Adam West can provide. His corporation stands to make billions if medical remedies are obtained through the research that will come from Adam West. He is relentless and calculating. He will stop at nothing to have his way. And in the mix, there are the "Others." They represent experiments gone wrong and right for that matter. They seek to exist and co-exist with everyone else. They are few in numbers but that could all change.
